Thanks for the comment. I think the real lucky part of my early experience is losses were kept small due to the dollar amount being small. It would be another story if I had lost more than a few thousand dollars.
I go back and forth on how much to track the portfolio performance. I think for me, it is me trying to grade the quality of my decisions to buy/sell and construct a portfolio.

I could just put everything in index funds and forget about it, but I pick my stocks because I enjoy doing it.
