Have you read Stolen Focus: Why You Can't Pay Attention by Johann Hari? its about how social media/phones/news cycle, etc is melting our brains and our ability to focus and live happy lives. Sad to say, I have not really embraced any of the suggestions given in the book but I may have to reread for 2025 and I really enjoyed it (and will hopefully give some of the suggestions a go).
Thanks for sharing, Dean! My favourite book this year was Outlive by Peter Attia. Longevity is not rocket science: eat well, sleep enough, exercise, etc., but it was fascinating to learn more about the leading causes of death and how to avoid them by improving your daily habits.
My favourite investing book was 7 Powers by Hamilton Helmer. It is a very practical book about competitive advantages!
I read Outlive last year and found it valuable. It convinced me to focus on VO2 max training. Thinking about longevity was never my focus until recently.
I will take a look at the 7 Powers book. It looks really interesting.

I haven't read it but it sounds good. I'll put it on my list of books to read. Thanks for the suggestion.
- The Selfish Gene
- The Swerve
- No Longer Human
Thanks for sharing! I'll check them out.
