My lifestyle was pretty much the same after I left work. I have let it creep up as my portfolio has increased. The return required to pay my bills has dropped substantially over the years as the portfolio has grown faster than my lifestyle.

I have tried telling people I a private investor. Most don't understand it and think I'm day trading. Sometimes I don't have the energy to explain so I just tell them I'm unemployed. lol

Thanks for the comment.

Did your Investment style before and after the transition?

I assuming you mean did my style change before and after the transition.

Yes and no. It's always evolving, so it would have changed (and will continue to change) as I learn and develop. I would say the largest difference now is that I can go deeper and network better on a company due to having more time. But overall I'm just as concentrated and have about the same amount of turnover.

Thanks for the comment

Curious your lifestyle become more expensive after you left the corporate world. Also, what did you tell people you were doing when you left? I know some people say they're in consulting to avoid having to explain.
